The European e-Business Report 2004 -- A portrait of e-business in 10 sectors of the EU economy
(09/2004)
240 pages
Topic: Supply Management & E-Business
Summary
Despite the increasing number of market research studies on electronic commerce, there is still a lack of reliable empirical information about the extent and nature of e-business developments in Europe at the sectoral level. It is the goal of the "e-Business W@tch" to provide this information. Since January 2002 the e-Business W@tch has been covering various manufacturing, financial and service sectors.
Taking the role of a market observatory for an initial period of 18 months, the e-Business W@tch monitors and assesses the maturity of electronic business in 15 industry sectors across all EU Member States. The findings will be published in regular Sector Reports and Newsletters. A database of key e-business indicators will allow for sector and country comparisons. Particular emphasis is given to the SME dimension of e-business.
The annual European E-Business Reports feature summaries of the individual sector studies, a synthesis of main findings, and contributions on specific issues from a number of international e-business experts.
